About
I am interested in what becomes possible when people are given permission to arrive as themselves.
Photography, for me, begins long before a camera is lifted. It begins with conversation, curiosity, trust, and the subtle art of paying attention. Before each session, I take time to understand what is changing, unfolding, being celebrated, or quietly asking to be witnessed.
Many people come to me for photographs, but what they are often seeking is something deeper: a sense of recognition, confidence, connection, or a way of marking a threshold in their lives.
My role is not to manufacture an image. It is to create the conditions for something honest to emerge.
Drawing from a background in photography, poetry, film, and collaborative arts, I approach each session as a shared exploration rather than a performance. The process is intuitive, spacious, and gently guided, leaving room for spontaneity, emotion, humour, stillness, and surprise.
Whether we are walking through a forest, working in your home, gathering with loved ones, or creating imagery for your work in the world, my intention is the same: to make photographs that feel alive enough to keep speaking to you years later.
Based in the west of Ireland and shaped by the landscapes of Connemara, I work throughout Ireland and internationally.
